Who knows the problems with the economy better then small business owners. Victoria, of Collage on South George Street, understands the problem, and sees a solution. With the shop in place for the past two years, she has worked hard to build it to the wonderful store that it is amidst the hardships of a down turned economy. Now as we are starting to bounce back, she is working to get to know the organizations and businesses that make up down town York.
It doesn't take too hard of a look to see that there are people in our community that need help. Many families within our county are food insecure. Instead of being able to focus on normal family dynamics and relationships they people are working multiple jobs or are searching tirelessly for work. Collage wants to do it's part to prevent this distressed family situation. They have agreed to offer coupons for $5 in exchange for food donations.

This "Christmas in July" will provide food that will be donated to the York County Food Bank to be sent out to families struggling within York County. Now, that's a present we can all appreciate. This event will not take place until the first of July, but you can get additional information in the upcoming issue of Clipper Magazine. The event will run through the month of July and into the First Friday events in August.
