Started in 2004, First Fruits Farms has worked to end hunger in many local communities. Spread out on over a hundred acres, the farm employs hundreds of volunteers who work to reap the fresh fruits and vegetables the land has to offer. This food is then sent out to food organizations such as food banks and missions to be given out to those in need.

They have been kind enough to work with us to provide fresh produce for York County. On July 22, 2011, they dropped off their first beans of the harvest. Giant bales of green beans weighing about 50 pounds a bag came in to the food bank. The donation was an astounding 2000 pounds of green beans. We are eternally grateful for the efforts of the staff and volunteers and First Fruits Farm. With organizations like this we can end hunger here in York County.
