Fred Fisher retired Director will receive award

On Thursday January 21, 2010 at the 58th General Assembly meeting held by the York County Council of Churchs, Fred Fisher will be named and awarded the 2009 Community Service Award.

This award is given each year for a community program that brings people of faith together in ministry. Fred Fisher will receive the award as one of the last 2 living founding fathers and his faithful service through the York County Food Bank. Fred served the York County Food Bank for 28 years and continues to work in a different capacity part-time for the organization.
