Philhaven Helps
By Jeremy Swiger
Philhaven is a local non profit based in South Central Pennsylvania. They work as a behavioral health care organization working with a variety of age groups. Recently they had a group of ten volunteer with us, helping with a variety of tasks. We appreciate every volunteer that is willing to take time out of their day to help someone else. It is especially noteworthy when it is a child. We see a special spark of energy, and they have the unique ability to teach us a very important lesson. Helping people costs you nothing, and means everything. When asked, every child in the group said that they would like to return to volunteer again.

The volunteers were broken into three groups: warehouse, sorting room, and main floor. The warehouse group helped another volunteer prepare orders for our distribution partners. The Sorting Room group worked to make sure a recent donation of soda was cleaned up and ready to be sent out to local families. the Main Floor team spent a chilly hour in the freezer, organizing product and preparing it to receive future donations from recent events. All of the groups worked very hard, and did a fantastic job.

We are very thankful for their help, and hope to see them again soon!
