Things are going well at Porky's Place BBQ. They have continued success with their catering business, and they were just able to open a new venue at the Shrewsbury Market. With their continued success they understand the need to give back to the community, and make sure that none of their tasty food goes to waste.

Recently they provided the catering for a Harrisburg Area Community College event. At the end of the event, there were still a lot of food that had been cooked, but not set out. When the two organizations talked about it they came to a common agreement. Instead of throwing away the unused food, they would make sure that someone who was hungry in York could use it. Several trays of chicken and pork were donated to the York County Food Bank, as well as large containers of baked beans and fruit salad. They have also volunteered to provide food from their time at the Shrewsbury Markets. We would like to sincerely thank them for doing their part in making sure we can end hunger in York County.
