Ride For Hunger to benefit YCFB

Event hosted by Mason-Dixon STAR Chapter #441

By Hollie Walkley

Riders from the mid-Atlantic region will gather at York County Food Bank on Saturday morning August 28 for a one-hour ride across our beautiful county to raise funds to help feed hungry families.

Mason-Dixon STAR Chapter #441 member and Ride for Hunger organizer Dave Gent says, “We’ve got a fantastic ride mapped out ending at Ski Roundtop for an afternoon of family fun.”

Event registration includes a catered picnic, root beer float station, the Roundtop Ropes Course and games for children.

Gent explains, “The Leader of the Pack award will be announced before the ride and the privilege of leading the pack will go to the rider who has raised the most money for York County Food Bank. The Leader of the Pack will receive a jacket and there will be prizes for the two runners-up.”

STAR Chapter #441 members have collected door prizes from local businesses. Rider drawings and the 50/50 drawing will be held during the picnic.

For additional information or to receive the registration packet, please phone Hollie Walkley at 717 846-6435 or email hollie.walkley@yorkfoodbank.org.
